NH Hotel Group Leads Sustainability in Spanish Hospitality Industry

In a major win for sustainable tourism, the NH Hotel Group which is part of Minor Hotels has brought their carbon footprint per room down by 67%. It was given recognition from the organisation CDP with an A- score in their annual report.

The group belonging to one of the major hotel chains, ranked among the 15 most progressive Spanish companies when it came to their global efforts to strive towards sustainability.

“Implementation of innovative solutions and the development of target-driven eco-friendly plans have been the key in the company’s sustainability strategy.” said the Group CEO Rufino Perez. He also spoke of how committed the company has been towards conservation and called this the pinnacle of spending a decade developing and experimenting with sustainable tourism.
