Nuwara Eliya Road Race – 2015

The hills were rumbling with action and excitement as the Nuwara Eliya Road Race returned to the road once again. The annual Nuwara Eliya Road Race organized by the Sri Lanka Motorcycle Club in collaboration with Nuwara Eliya Motor Racing Club; has a history of about 60 years. The races are one of the major and popular events belonging to the Nuwara Eliya April Holiday Season that sees tourists from around the island and the world, flocking to the hill country. Nuwara Eliya Road Race 2015, held on the 19th of April, was a high octane show that had around 140 vehicles in vying for honors. Top drivers of this year’s race were Michael Wijesuriya, Ajith Keerthi, Hafiz Cader, Susantha Gunawardena, Kandan Parameswaran & many others.
