Ocean Course Desaru Coast – Official Launch by His Majesty Sultan of Johor

A boon for golfers in Asia, the official launch of the Els Club Desaru Coast – Ocean Course took place recently, parallel to the opening of the initial Laksamana Trophy Charity Golf Competition. The event which was amongst the top Malaysia golf news highlights saw the gracious presence of the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ismail Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al as the Chief Guest who officially launched the tournament and inaugurated the Els Club Desaru Coast – Ocean Course. It is part of The Els Club Malaysia catering to high-end visitors and golf enthusiasts. The proceeds from the tournament went to the Tunku Laksamana Johor cancer foundation. The Els Club Desaru Coast – Ocean Course is set in the south-eastern expanse of Malaysia and includes three nine-hole courses. The golf course also caters to the discerning tastes of its clientele with two restaurants and a 24-hour café and a bar.
