In recognition for its efforts to increase tourist arrivals for attractions in Oman via social media, the Ministry of Tourism in Oman was recently awarded the Golden Award for the ”Best Usage of Social Media” in the Middle East and North Africa. The prestigious award was handed over to the Omani delegation at the Dubai International Commercial Centre last April. The event saw the participation of many dignitaries and experts from the tourism industry. Oman which is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Middle East was praised for its efficient and effective use of social media to promote tourism as well as hotels and resorts such as the Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort.
