To attract more travellers to the country, Oman launched a promotional campaign for the summer season this June which came to an end in August; the slogan used was “change weather” and it focused on key tourism and heritage hotspots and attractions that visitors could enjoy during the summer. These included destinations like Al Jabal Al Akhdar and Jabal Shams which are known for offering more moderate temperatures.
Additionally, as part of the campaign, closed / indoor venues were also put in the spotlight from entertainment and commercial centres to museums. Such attractions continue to be popular and will draw travellers throughout the year as Oman looks to offer plenty more unforgettable visitor experiences in the months ahead. When it comes to popular places to explore during a stay at leisure or business hotels, Muscat, the capital, remains one of the best options; properties here based in Seeb such as Avani Muscat Hotel & Suites make an ideal choice with easy access to the top cultural, sightseeing and retail attractions of the city which can be enjoyed year-round.
