Photography Exhibition – capturing the beauty of the wild

The highly anticipated launch of the Avium Photography Exhibition and Book Sale, was recently held on 8th and 9th of April in Kandy, at the Kandy City Center Main hall. The Photography Exhibition focused on Sri Lanka’s wildlife, with spectacular photographs of birds, leopards, bears, and other scenes from the wilderness, whilst the coffee table book is a compilation of the very best photographs. The hill city is mostly known as a weekend getaway from the heat of Colombo city, with a selection of comfortable bungalows in Kandy, such as the colonial styled Mountbatten Bungalow, for example, and the cool mountainous landscapes. However, the photography exhibition and book launch brought a touch of glamour to the city as many well-known faces, travelled up from Colombo to attend the big night.
