Held in the city centre of Mackay in Queensland, the Lanes Easter Carnival attracted a large crowd on the 16th of April. The event was ideal for families and there were countless bunny ears to be seen within the venue. The carnival is quite renowned and results in Australians travelling from states such as Brisbane to occupy many a hotel in Mackay such as the Oaks Rivermarque. There were many stalls offering various kinds of indulgent which resulted in hundreds of children with faces covered in various sweets. The carnival boasted various activities as well as live-music. The children flocked to have their pictures taken with the various characters within the carnival, the most popular of which was the Easter Bunny who had a small procession of kids lining up to have their photo taken. There were many local personalities present as well such as Ebony Man and Kelly Hardy who attended the carnival with their families.
