Phuket Kathu Festival- a must attend street cultural festival when in town

Phuket Kathu Festival which is also known as the Kathu Street Culture Festival is an event held from the 1st to the 7th of July. The event which is taking place for the 7th consecutive year is held to promote Thai traditions and customs. If you are in town during the month of July this festival is a must attend. During the course of the festival visitors could find street stalls, live music, exhibitions as well as Thai stage shows. The residents, who are of Thai-Chinese origin prepare local treats and are attired in Chinese influenced costumes as well as traditional Phuket costumes.
