Plans to Open Phase I of Oman Botanic Garden by Year’s End – Await A Key New Attraction
As reported on the ZAWYA news website on 10th May 2023, the first phase of Oman Botanic Garden which is being developed presently, is set to open by the end of the year. This project by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in Oman can be found in the Al Khoudh region within easy reach of properties like Avani Muscat Hotel & Suites in the nation’s capital. Apart from heading to the top places to visit in Muscat, tourists will soon be able to explore this site with its habitat gardens and pavilions, cable cars, family zones and more.

Once completed, the Oman Botanic Garden which will cover an expansive area of around 4.3 million square metres, will showcase the entire varied flora to be found within the country in various habitats; these diverse landscapes include everything from monsoon forests to arid deserts each with their own varieties of plant life. This site will additionally feature crops that are traditionally cultivated and give visitors a chance to learn about the nation’s agricultural heritage as well.
