Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday

The Maldives, a country where the majority of its population is Muslim, celebrates Prophet Mohammad’s Birthday on grand scale, and this year the birthday falls on the 12th of November- the month of Rabee-ul-Awwal according to the Islamic calendar. As there is a tradition among the Maldivians to invite their relatives and close friends to their residences and have celebrations together, this November is expected to be a good month for Maldives luxury resort chains as well.

There is also a clear tendency of families gathering at properties the likes of Hard Rock Hotel Maldives for dining out and even in the past years, this tendency has been clearly observed. However, considering the importance, special traffic controlling mechanisms and other travel and transport strategies will be arranged by the authorities since the Maldives is sure to get busier during this season of celebration.
