Talks have taken place and Qatar Airways has decided to expand their routes to Gaborone in Botswana. This airline is to be the first non-African airline to fly to the location. Qatar Airways got down to work on the route from the 27th of October flying from Doha, via Johannesburg to Gaborone. Akbar Al Baker, the CEO stated that Qatar Airways promises passengers a smooth journey to and from Botswana.
The airline is scheduled to operate about thrice a week between the two destinations. Flights are arranged for Sunday, Wednesdays and Fridays. The aircraft carrier will be of model A350-900 which has a special feature called Qsuites in business class. Suites can also be prepared with double beds for couples as well. For tourists who seek adventurous things to do in Gaborone, this air route is yet another opportunity that has opened up.
