Quarantine-free Travel to Phuket On Offer – Thailand’s Test & Go Initiative Restarted

The popular Thai island of Phuket is open once more and those who have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 can enjoy quarantine free holidays here. Such easing of restrictions is part of the Test & Go programme in Thailand; while it was suspended late last year due to the omicron variant of COVID-19, it was relaunched in February this year with the guidelines being updated on 1st March 2022.

Fully vaccinated tourists who have applied and obtained a Test & Go Thailand Pass can now take a trip to Thailand and enjoy stays at an SHA Plus+ certified luxury resort Phuket has to offer; options include SAii Laguna Phuket which has a special Test & Go package as well. As per the updated requirements, such travellers need to submit to an RT-PCR test on day one and use an antigen test kit (ATK) to do a self-test on day five; the result of this second test must be submitted online via the MorChana smartphone app. In a further change, the previous minimum medical insurance coverage that foreign travellers needed to have was brought down from 50,000 USD to 20,000 USD.
