Quarantine Rules for Vaccinated Tourists Eased in Sri Lanka – A Boost for Travellers

The quarantine rules for arriving tourists to Sri Lanka have been eased for those who have completed their COVID-19 vaccination and will no doubt be beneficial to the tourism industry as well. As per the guidelines put out on 6th April 2021 by the Ministry of Health, this applies to travellers who have completed the recommended dose of a vaccine at least 14 days before departure.

Apart from producing a negative result of a COVID-19 PCR test (conducted within 72 hours of departure) and a completed health declaration form, they will have to undergo a PCR test; this will be done at a ‘Safe & Secure Level 1’ hotel. If the result is negative, they are free to leave the bio-bubble.
