Rafa’s and Djokovic’s Visit to Bangkok will Boost Confidence in Thai Tourism – Goodwill Tennis Ambassadors in Action

The Thai capital, Bangkok was abuzz with activity recently, as tennis superstars Rafael Nadal from Spain and Serbian, Novak Djokovic went on a short city tour with the country’s Prime Minister, Prayut Chan-o-cha. The tour took place prior to the ‘Back to Thailand’ exhibition tennis match which saw world number one Djokovic take on Nadal, a 14-time Grand Slam winner; the event was held in order to boost Thailand as a tourist destination following the bombings that took place in the city in August. Visitors to the city have the option of staying at a hotel or a Bangkok resort such asAnantara Riverside Bangkok Resort and heading to some of the sites visited by these two tennis stars such as the well known Erawan Shrine. Donning traditional Thai shirts made from silk, the pair also visited the Grand Palace ahead of their match at the Hua Mark Indoor Stadium.
