Ramadan in Maldives – A Festival of Devotion

Ramadan, the ninth month of the Muslim Calendar, is a fasting month for Muslims in Maldives. This religious festival lasts an entire month and devotees spend their time with their full focus on contemplation and worship with little focus to the concerns of day-to-day life. Strict restraints are places on Muslims’ lives during the Ramadan fast. They are forbidden from eating or drinking anything during daylight hours.
