Regional premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 16 in Abu Dhabi

Finally the long awaited and the most anticipated film of all time – Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens premiered in Abu Dhabi on 16 December, just the day before it opened in other local cinemas and within less than 2 days after its world premiere that was held in Los Angeles on 14 December. The regional premier of the sensational block buster movie bringing back the famous trio of heroes from George Lucas’ 1977 original has already surpassed way ahead the box office records on turnover from any blockbuster movie of all time and was held at Emirates Palace, with attendance by invite-only.
