Report on UK Outbound Market to Namibia

Wildlife Experiences a Top Draw

According to a recent online publication on Travel Daily, a majority of tourists visiting Namibia from the UK were focused on enjoying wildlife experiences. These findings were part of a report put out by the Namibia Tourism Board which showed 27% of UK tourists had an interest in “wildlife viewing” when it came to local activities. Amongst the most well-loved destinations for visitors were the Etosha National Park and Windhoek; the latter is Namibia’s capital and travellers have many accommodation options here when it comes to hotels in Windhoek including properties the likes of Avani Windhoek Hotel & Casino.

The report further shed light on the fact that 33% of UK visitors used a travel agent, while another 33% utilised the services of a tour operator. Additionally, was the surprise finding that while 28% of those surveyed used the internet to help plan their holiday, a mere 8% made use of holiday and travel forums like TripAdvisor for destination research.
