Russia the Top Source Market for the Maldives in July – India Close Behind in Second Place

In July this year, it was revealed that Russia had become the top source market for tourism in the Maldives after regaining first place which was previously occupied by India. This came to light after the country’s Ministry of Tourism released the tourist arrivals statistics from 1st January to 22nd July 2023. Of the total tourists who had arrived in the Maldives at the time, 11.8% were from Russia, followed by India (11.6%) and the UK (8.4%) respectively.
