Salalah Tourism Thrives Despite War Across the Border – The Appeal of Oman’s Largest City Prevails

Salalah, the biggest metropolis Southern Oman has to offer has always been a renowned tourist destination, at least within the nation and the surrounding countries. The civil war just across the border in neighbouring Yemen is raging, but visitors still boldly travel to Salalah. The splendour of this province is renowned, and Salalah Beach Villas are plentiful, available in resorts such as Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara.

Most tourists are very much aware of Oman’s reputation for safety, and consider it a safe haven in an area of the world that is associated with regional conflict. Salalah’s attractions are plentiful, and concern aspects such as historical monuments, geographical wonders and various adventure experiences ranging from mountain climbing to dune bashing. It comes as no surprise that tourist numbers have consistently been on the rise.
