Known for its historic sites and rich heritage, Siem Reap in Cambodia has been named as the top holiday hotspots for 2015, according to a report by Skyscanner, a website that highlights global travel searches. According to the report, Siem Reap has the highest increase (33%) when it came to searches done in the UK. Travellers to the region looking to enjoy the best this destination has to offer can choose to stay at a boutique hotel Siem Reap has to offer such as Anantara Angkor Resort & Spa which is within easy reach of the area’s famed attractions.
The rankings were made according to an analysis done based on Skyscanner flight searches during the past three years as well as information collected from Trendhunter and The Future Laboratory which are involved in trend forecasting. Apart from Siem Reap, other destinations that also took a high place on the list were Fort Lauderdale in Florida and Mykonos in Greece.
