The Sri Lanka Central Cultural fund stated that they have made arrangements to improve sanitary facilities at the archeological site of Sigiriya. This decision has been made by the department as the site has been seeing an increased trend in the tourist footfall during the last few years. According to the plan, two latrine complexes have been planned to be constructed near the Moragahamula vehicle park. And will consist of 50 cubicles which will be open to tourists. In Addition to this a restaurant and a restaurant will also be constructed in the site for travel agents and drivers who bring in tourists. Sigiriya hotel properties and resorts the likes of Habarana Village by Cinnamon very much appreciate the government’s new plans as their guests can enjoy tours in absolute convenience with these new development projects.
