The cultural show- “Sri Krishna Mathuram” was successfully held on the 31st August 2019 at the Bandarawela Town Hall, Sri Lanka in commemoration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. This colourful event was organized by the Hill Country Academy of Indian Fine Arts, Bandarawela with the support of the High Commission of India, Colombo.

Sri Lankans, not only those who reside at Bandarawela, but also those from other areas such as Colombo and Kandy took part in the event, and it was a nice sight to see to have some Indians too in the audience, who had specially come down for this event.  It is likely that hotels the likes of Bandarawela Hotel were filled with people who came to experience this special event. These visitors also explored the many places to visit in Bandarawela as a part of their tour to this beautiful city, with an extremely cold climate.
