However, it’s not the ability to host a Negombo beach hotel that makes Sri Lanka worthy of the social media sphere. Big Travel 7, a US-based travel site, recorded Sri Lanka as the 9th most Instagrammable country amongst 50 of its peers, beating out the Maldives, Australia and Singapore, with Sri Lanka earning over 13 million hashtags on Instagram, and 16.4 billion TikTok views.
