Sri Lanka looking to draw 5 million tourists annually – Making it the most popular tropical vacation destination in Asia

According to a directive from the President of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe, officials are to begin efforts to draw 5 million tourists to the country as an annual target – engaging with relevant departments and drawing up comprehensive plans to develop the tourist hotspots within the locale – like the many Bentota villas that pepper the southern regions.

This means that luxury properties and destinations of the likes of Bentota No.1 can be expected to prepare for larger numbers of arrivals and bookings than before, especially because Bentota and the surrounding areas are a favourite amongst consumers. Additionally, other areas like the city of Kandy, famous for its history and culture, will also receive a similar treatment due to the different, yet no less appreciated value that many from around the world choose to see.
