“Reiselivsmessen 2019”, the premier Nordic Tourism Fair was held this January during which Sri Lanka was promoted as a tourist destination. This travel fair which took place from 11th to 13th January 2019 saw several participants representing the country’s travel trade, including Mr. Rizwan Wadood from Silvertree Travel.
Foreign attendees had the chance to witness a cultural dance performance as well as sample authentic Ceylon Tea. This event provided the perfect opportunity for Sri Lankan representatives to highlight the allure of the island nation be it the rich cultural heritage or natural beauty of Sri Lanka. Holiday packages to the country focus on these different elements and it was hoped that promotional activities at Reiselivsmessen 2019 would help to bring in more visitors from the Nordic region.
