Sri Lanka positions itself as a preferred MICE destination

The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau together with the Sri Lanka Consulate General in Mumbai organized the Sri Lankan MICE promotion events in Mumbai in November 2019. The event aimed to establish Sri Lanka as an attractive and cost-effective destination for many corporate events on a global scale. With several business event venues and amazing hotels, the likes of Arie Lagoon, a well-known hotel in Negombo, this is the ideal sector for Sri Lanka to target.
It was also established at the conference that there is a strong cultural bond between Sri Lanka and India which helps Indian travellers feel more at home when they are in Sri Lanka, no matter the reason for the visit.
