On 12th April this year, the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore Airlines which gave the island’s tourism industry a much-needed boost. This collaboration will potentially bring more travellers to the country by making use of the extensive route network of Singapore’s flag carrier airline. They can not only experience the many attractions of this South Asian nation but also enjoy stays at some of the best hotels; Sri Lanka adventures while based at ‘Safe & Secure’ certified properties of reputed hospitality brands like Aitken Spence Hotels provide such tourists with the chance to travel with peace of mind too.
Amongst the initiatives planned as part of the MoU are agent and media familiarisation tours that will utilise Singapore Airlines to target key source markets including Singapore and Australia. Social media, electronic and print promotions are also expected to be used while depending on the reopening plans of countries in the Far East, those destinations will be targeted as well.
