Sri Lanka Steps into the Road to Recovery

Amidst the effects of COVID-19 and an economic crisis, the Pearl of the Indian Ocean is gradually picking up its pace in the tourism industry. While the country faced a major drawback in tourist arrivals, hotels, streets and casinos in Sri Lanka are once again filling up with globetrotters. Therefore, popular places like Bally’s Casino too are once again alive and running with a higher number of foreign travellers.

As reported on The New Indian Express on the 4th of January 2023, the paradise island has welcomed a total of 700,000 tourists in the year 2022, where December alone reported 91,691 tourists who came to explore the country. While the nation still strives to lift up its tourism sector, with steps taken by Sri Lanka Tourism with various campaigns, the country remains hopeful of further recovery.
