Sri Lanka to open 24 beach properties for tourism investment – Expanding Tourism Across the Ceylonese Cities

According to representatives from the Department of Urban Development, Housing, and Coastal Conservation, the country of Sri Lanka plans to open two dozen beach properties across the country for tourism development, hoping to establish certain tourist hotspots as they have been identified. Elaborating on the same, the representative went on to say that these areas have been given to investors in order to help boost the economy.

Although these places have not been mentioned specifically, it can be inferred that already existing hotspots such as Unawatuna can expect a higher amount of tourist populations as a result of these improvements, giving those who are looking for things to do in Unawatuna a much better experience. Additionally, hospitality brands such as the Araliya Beach Resort & Spa can also expect higher numbers of bookings to boot, adding to tourism revenue which has already jumped 45% as of this year.
