Sri Lanka Tourism aims at the upsurge in UK Traveler flow to Sri Lanka

One of the main global events for the travel and tourism sector- the World Travel Market (WTM) was held last year from 9th to 11th November and Sri Lanka too took part in this event. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, this time the event was held as a virtual event, but all conferences and business meetings happened without any change.
Key players in the UK travel market were present at this virtual event, and Sri Lanka could address all of them with impressive presentations and speeches. The UK market is one of the main target markets for the Sri Lanka tourism industry, and one of the objectives of taking part in this event was to encourage UK travellers to travel to Sri Lanka once the situation is suppressed. Destination sites such as Truly Sri Lanka are also doing their job, from their end to influence visitors to explore Sri Lanka – the emerald isle!
