Sri Lanka Tourism Focuses on Influencer Marketing – Strategy Follows Success of Nas Daily

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) is stepping up its influencer marketing strategy after the viral videos of Nas Daily, a popular international vlogger, reached over 25 million people in two months. Nas Daily, whose real name is Nuseir Yassin, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SLTPB last year to produce three special videos promoting Sri Lanka Tourism which proved to be a success.

As highlighted on the EconomyNext news website on 14th February 2024, SLTPB is partnering with the European Union to bring down 30 wellness influencers from Germany and France. Additionally, Luke Martin, a Canada-based influencer will also be creating content that will promote the island nation. As mentioned by Chalaka Gajabahu, the Chairman of the SLTPB, the focus is going to be on influencer marketing that is more category-specific covering aspects such as adventure, cuisine, and wellness.

Sri Lanka remains a top choice for tourists who continue to be drawn to the island’s south coast where they can enjoy holidays at beach villas in Mirissa. While this destination is home to Coconut Tree Hill, a famous attraction on Instagram, it is also where travellers can stay at properties like Vis Ta Vie Mirissa offering surfing, whale watching, snorkelling and more.
