Plans to Boost the Industry

As reported on the official website of Sri Lanka Tourism in July, the country is lobbying to be included in travel corridors when it comes to being excluded from overseas quarantining; this would mean that those who arrive in the country will not be subject to being quarantined on their return. To meet this objective, the Foreign Affairs Ministry and Sri Lanka Tourism are working together with ambassadors and governments of other countries including the UK.

Additionally, the country has also developed a comprehensive protocol that would help in resuming tourism in an environment that would be safe from COVID-19. It will be hoped that the international airport soon opens and travellers will once more come to the island; there is much to enjoy here be it a stay at luxury villas Sri Lanka has to offer such as Ulagalla by Uga Escapes or to discover the island’s many unique attractions and experiences.
