Sri Lanka Tourism has started to roll out a two-phase strategy for the upcoming global tourism campaign, aiming to transform the perception of the island nation – partnering with a creative and strategy agency, Phoenix Ogilvy. According to SLTPB Head, Chalaka Gajabahu, the goal is to revive tourism numbers and position the country as a must-visit destination for returning and first-time visitors alike.
With an initial focus on many European markets at the start, the allure of many tourist hotspots, like the natural jungles, hilly areas, and many a beach hotel in Sri Lanka will be plugged and marketed as a focus – drawing potential visitors to the most attractive parts of the country, and brands like KK Collection.
