Sri Lanka Tourism to “Celebrate Colombo” at CFW 2015

Colombo Fashion Week, since its inception in 2003, has risen to be Sri Lanka’s biggest fashion event. For those planning tours for Sri Lanka with a premier travel agent such as Aitken Spence Travels, the event is a must attend as it brings together renowned local fashion designers as well as international designers and brands.

This year, realizing its importance and its potential, the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotions Bureau decided to power up the ever-popular event on the theme of’ Celebrate Colombo”.

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotions Bureau said that the logic of the sponsorship endorsement was based on the results of the last airport traveler exit survey that revealed 65% of those who visited Sri Lanka spent time in the city- Colombo. Thus, six of the finest restaurants in Colombo and six ‘must-see’ attractions of the city were highlighted under the theme of ‘Celebrate Colombo’ to portray its vibrancy.

Therefore, under the theme of ‘Celebrate Colombo’, Colombo Fashion Week 2015 was held for three spectacular days filled with high fashion from the 12th to the 14th of March.
