Sri Lankan Airlines, the national carrier of the island paradise of Sri Lanka has announced that starting from 29th of October 2017; it will be commencing daily non-stop flights to Australia as it will be establishing its presence in the country. The airline is set to operate Airbus 330 – 200 aircraft, providing passengers aboard a whole new experience with modern in-flight comforts with a world renowned service. Sri Lankan Airlines has been scheduled to fly to Melbourne daily at 2350 hrs from Colombo and back to the island at 1655 hrs from Melbourne. According to officials at Sri Lankan Airlines, this move will facilitate passengers from across the world, especially the Middle East & South Asia seeking to fly to Australia via Colombo. This also allows tourists ample time to explore the city of Colombo & airport transfers could be arranged from some of the key cab service in Colombo, Sri Lanka such as those by Malkey Rent a Car. However, it’s well notable that there is a significant increase in passengers travelling from Colombo to Australia via Singapore & Malaysia.
