Sri Lanka’s Easing Travel Restrictions Making a Positive Impact on Tourism

With the latest development of the UK relaxing its travel advisory to Sri Lanka along with many other countries, Sri Lanka’s tourism is getting back on track again. Despite the rising economic crises and inflation, Sri Lanka is still a leading travel destination with many visitors for the season. As the gas, fuel, and electricity situation is slightly bettering, most resorts, villas, and hotels are resuming operations as usual.

The COVID-19 pandemic was a critical hit on Sri Lanka’s tourism, which was one of the main sources of income on the island. Every luxury hotel in Colombo had to pause or limit its operations during these times. Leading hotels and hotel chains such as Cinnamon Grand Colombo are finally now most likely experiencing a great demand for reservations due to the easing of travel restrictions.
