Sri Lanka expanded its network to Yangon, with one of Myanmar’s well-known airlines, Myanmar Airways with effective from the 1st of June 2017. With this new partnership, Sri Lankan airlines codeshare the flights run by MAI in between Bangkok & Yangon and Singapore &Yangon. In turn, MAI also codeshares flights operated by Sri Lankan Airlines between Colombo & Bangkok and Colombo & Singapore. Sharing a single ticket itinerary and interlined luggage are some of the benefits that could be benefited from this codeshare process. Incidentally, this also allows tourists ample time to explore the city and its secrets whilst staying at one of many a Colombo airport hotel such as the The Tamarind Tree Hotel. It’s notable that Sri Lankan Airlines has partnered with several other airlines to provide enhanced travel options and a comfortable journey to its valuable customers
