The Dragon Dance Festival in Hong Kong was recently held for three consecutive days starting from 7th of September. The spectacular event that coincided with the Mid-Autumn Festival was a breathtaking sight to witness. Dating back to the 19th century, and commemorating the mishaps that befell the village, the fire dragon dance is believed to have dispelled the plague and is continued ever since. The festival includes a 67metre long dragon that carries thousands of burning joss sticks and paraded along the backstreets of Tai Hang in Causeway Bay.
