Thai Minister of Tourism Extends Warm Welcome to Chinese Media Delegation

Thai Minister of Tourism and Sports, Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, extended a gracious welcome to a sizable contingent of Chinese media representatives and influencers on December 26. Their visit marked a pivotal part of the Amazing Festive & Exclusive Trip in Thailand, a grand event from December 21 to 28.

With over 93 Chinese influencers participating, the event highlighted Thailand’s tourism industry to Chinese audiences. From Bangkok to Pattaya, Hua Hin to Chiang Mai, and beyond, the influencers went on a journey across the country, tasked with crafting engaging media content showcasing Thailand’s tourism allure. Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol emphasised the significant economic impact of the Chinese market on Thailand, citing impressive visitor statistics. By the end of 2023, more than 3.5 million Chinese visitors visited the country, showcasing Thailand’s commitment to fostering positive relationships with Chinese tourists remains steadfast, as reported by The Pattaya News. Hotspots such as Phuket welcomed a whole host of visitors, both veteran and new, with luxury hotels in Phuket the likes of Anantara Layan Phuket Resort having a busy year-end.
