The Tourism Ministry of Thailand expects the tourism record to hit 4.1 million in 2019 with a rise of 11 percent to 11.69 million. They also expect the tourists to spend over 2.21 trillion baht as well. During 2018, Thailand experienced an influx of 38.27 million which was significantly higher from 7.5 percent from 2017. This year the records are predicted to increase from a whopping 8 per cent.
The ministry also expects an increase in Chinese visitors as well, which initially slowed down after an incident that triggered public concerns about safety standards in the country when it came to tourism. Many a hotel in Khon Kean including the likes of AVANI Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Centre are predicted to enjoy significantly high occupancy rates than the previous year as well.
