Thailand a top destination for Russians this year – The new trendy tourist destination!

Thailand has once again emerged as one of the Top 10 destinations amongst Russians. Pattaya and Phuket are seemingly the most favourite places to visit. Approximately 884,000 Russians visited Thailand last year with an anticipation of 1 million Russians tourists set to visit Thailand this year. Other popular destinations include Greece, Cyprus, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Spain, Vietnam, Montenegro and Italy.

One of the reasons Thailand is popular amongst Russians is because it is one of the few countries with a warm climate, exotic food, nightlife and pristine beaches where Russians can enter without applying for a visa. This is mainly as a result that Russians travel abroad for rest and relaxation, thus choosing to stay longer periods at their destination.
