Thailand being one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in Asia due to its cultural background and natural attractions, is now trying to venture out into bigger and bolder prospects. Known as a “backpackers paradise” for a long time, the country has now come a long way with the rising of famous luxury shopping malls, hotels, and entertainment complexes. However, Supaluck Umpujh, chairwoman of The Mall Group, states that they have a long way to go and more future plans to develop the country as the “playground of Asia”. In light of this, The Mall Group has recently ventured out into an agreement with the AEG, a US-based sports, and live entertainment company, to invest more than $315 million into new world-class arenas, called the EME Live and Bangkok Arena, which are said to open in the fourth quarter of 2022.
Apart from this, Thailand is also well known for its immaculately exquisite accommodation and lodging facilities that definitely attract more tourists to the country. Resorts such as Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort qualify as a luxury Samui resort that adds value to this upcoming tourist destination.
