Thailand Travel Mart Plus 2019 – A Resounding Success!

According to The Tourism Authority of Thailand, 339 buyers turned out for the first day of the Thailand Travel Mart Plus 2019 on the 6th of June. There were 51 countries participating, including 370 sellers.
The annual event took place from the 5th to the 7th of June 2019 under the theme “New Shades of Emerging Destinations,” and involved Thailand’s efforts to bring to light 55 of their provincial destinations.
A region of interest is the areas around the Mekong river and 10 countries from the Greater Mekong Subregion were in attendance. Thailand and other countries bordering the river are planning to improve tourism to the region with the introduction of more Mekong cruise packages and tours like Mekong Kingdom that organise tours of the famed Golden Triangle.
