Thailand Welcomes Tourists from All Countries

Here’s what you need to know

Thailand has lifted its travel restrictions for all nationalities since November 2020; nevertheless, procedures such as PCR tests and quarantine periods have been made mandatory upon arrival to ensure the safety of each individual that enters or already resides in the country. Prior to this, Thai borders were already open for residents, people with work permits, and those with family in the country. From November 2020, however, travellers from all around the world were permitted into the country and many were seen holidaying at some of the best Ao Nang beach hotels the likes of Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort.

Visitors to Thailand are also expected to acquire a new tourist visa that is valid for 60 days. And those who require staying longer than that, particularly those who are visiting from low-risk countries, will be granted a special tourist visa. It will be valid for up to 90 days and can be extended twice up to a maximum of 9 months.
