Thailand’s Sandbox Reopening becomes a success – The experimental initiatives

According to the latest news from Thailand, the launch of the Phuket Sandbox program is a success. The tourism authorities have been able to reap the set objectives, and thus, they will now plan to implement the same to other popular tourist destinations within the country. Apart from the hotels, Phuket restaurants the likes of Age Restaurant were able to come out of the dark zone that the pandemic created back in 2020.

Under the Sandbox Program, travellers were allowed to come and holiday in Phuket without adhering to quarantine measures; however, it was a must that travellers were fully vaccinated. Although these reliefs were granted, the tourism authorities made sure that this did not affect the safety levels of the locals. The COVID 19 alert mobile application was also specially designed for this purpose, so that the tracking and awareness were made easier.
