Thailand’s Visa-free Entry for Indian Tourists till May – India Remains a Key Source Market

In a move designed to stimulate tourism and attract a surge of visitors from India, Thailand implemented a visa-free entry policy for Indian citizens last year. The initiative, which commenced on 10th November 2023, is nearing its conclusion, with a deadline set for 10th May 2024. This window of opportunity allows Indian travellers to plan a trip here and enjoy a streamlined entry process, with a maximum stay of 30 days permitted under the visa-free scheme. India continues to be a vital source market for the local tourism industry, and this policy reflects Thailand’s commitment to attracting Indian visitors.

It’s important to note that other nations enjoy visa-free entry as well. Most recently, following a mutual agreement, China and Thailand launched such an initiative for citizens of both countries which came into effect from 1st March 2024. It’s no surprise then, that international arrivals to Thailand have increased as tourists are enjoying the chance to experience the best of the country along with island escapes at family hotels. Phi Phi Islands continue to be a popular choice for coastal getaways with properties here like SAii Phi Phi Island Village also providing access to the famed Maya Bay which has reopened for visitors once more.
