The 37th Annual Bali Arts Festival – A celebration of music, art and tradition

The 37th edition of the Annual Bali Arts Festival is back again in 2015 with its theme this year being “Jagadhita: Strengthening Public Welfare”. The festival kicked off on the 13th of June and runs all the way till the 11th of July. Travellers looking for a convenient base to enjoy the festivities will find one of the best Bali 5 star hotel options, the W Retreat & Spa Bali Seminyak, an easy 35 minute drive from the Taman Werdhi Budaya Arts Centre where most of the festival is being hosted.

Featured are a host of acts from all over Indonesia including an all-female Gong Kebyar performance, film screenings of Balinese documentaries, shadow puppetry and a spectacular feast of popular Balinese cuisine. The festival closes this year with a lively and colourful evening traditional ballet known as ‘sendratari’ which starts at 2000 hrs and is held at the Ardha Candra open stage.
