Many nations that depend highly on tourism to enrich GDP began to suffer due to the pandemic when it began to rage in 2020. The Maldives too was a country that took a big hit due to COVID-19. However, this nation was also able to come up with quick solutions to the problem and tourism is now on the rise again.

World Bank’s South Asia Economic Focus states that the Maldives and a few other countries were able to recover quickly in terms of tourism. Every resort in Maldives has taken measures to reduce the spread of the virus while tourists are on holiday. Resorts like Reethi Faru Resort have invested in training their staff well to ensure the safety of guests and the resort staff themselves during the recovery of tourism in the post-pandemic season.
