The Colombo Shopping Festival This Month

Perfect for those looking to buy gifts for the Christmas season, the Colombo Shopping Festival is back this month. It will take place from 19th to 24th December 2019 and will be held from 10:00am to 10:00pm at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Sri Lanka. Holiday packages featuring visits to Colombo during this time provide an ideal opportunity for international travellers to attend apart from enjoying shopping tours organised by travel specialists such as NKAR Travel House.

The Colombo Shopping Festival is generally held twice a year, once during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year period which falls in April and then again in December in time for Christmas. Over 250 exhibitors and 80,000 visitors are expected at the festival which will feature a range of items and products; these include garments, electronics, toys, household items, cosmetics, fashion accessories, baby products, footwear, kitchenware and more. Christmas carols, a raffle draw, exclusive discounts and entertainment will be on offer as well.
