The future of taxis in Abu Dhabi – TXAI

Commuters in Abu Dhabi now have the opportunity of travelling within Yas Island in driverless taxis. Rides can easily be scheduled by downloading the ‘TXAI’ app available for iOS and Android users. The CEO of Bayanat for Mapping and Surveying Services, a subsidiary of Group 42, Mr Hasan Al Hosani added that in order to book a trip, passengers have to be on nine locations on Yas Island.

Yas Island in Abu Dhabi is a popular tourist destination known for its scenic beaches and lush greenery. Yas Island is also home to some of the most popular resorts in Abu Dhabi such as the likes of Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Yamm Villa Resort. Despite the pandemic, the island is open to international travellers as strict protocols have been instilled to assure public safety and hygiene such as the automated taxi service.
